Agriculture education belongs in every home.

Sponsor-funded. Free to participating youth.

You shouldn’t need acres of land to learn how food grows or how living ecosystems work. ECO 180’s STEM Ag Kits connect classroom science with real-world agriculture through hands-on learning in classrooms, daycares, after-school programs, homeschool groups, community events, and farmers markets.

Aquaponics Kit

Explore how water, nutrients, plants, and fish interact in a recirculating ecosystem.

  • Ecosystem dynamics: understand how living organisms depend on one another.
  • Closed-loop science: learn how waste becomes plant nutrients.
  • Water quality & care: observe water conditions and plant growth.

Living-fish activities use an appropriate supervised setup and a trained adult responsible for care.

Plant Propagation STEM Kit

Exploring Seeds, Cuttings & Plant Reproduction

  • Seed vs. clone: compare sexual reproduction through seeds with asexual reproduction through cuttings or divisions.
  • Plant anatomy & genetics: explore life cycles, root development, and growth.
  • Hands-on propagation: practice techniques used by plant scientists and growers.

Learning for different ages

Activities are adapted for learners from 4K through high school. Younger learners observe and describe; older students measure, journal, analyze, and explain. Educators and our team coordinate the format and timing.

Bring learning to your community

  • Educators, daycares & after-school programs: request kits for your students.
  • Event organizers: invite ECO 180 to a community event or kit giveaway.
  • Donors: sponsor a classroom or neighborhood pop-up.
  • Volunteers: assemble kits, prepare materials, or help facilitate a workshop.
  • In-kind supporters: contribute tools, seeds, and supplies.

Statewide expansion

Our expansion goal is 400 kits per program cycle: 100 each in the Upstate, Midlands, Lowcountry, and Pee Dee.

Kits beyond our home base

Schools, families, and groups outside South Carolina are welcome to ask about kits. Share your location and learning goals so we can discuss availability, shipping, and format.
